Penbook 5: The best Penbook yet.
Penbook 5 is here, and it includes our most-requested features. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new:
PDF import: Use your own PDFs as notebooks. You can annotate them with ink and or text, and rearrange pages. You can even insert regular Penbook stationery pages between PDF pages.
Left-handed mode: Drag the main toolbar to the left to move the menus over. You can also drag the toolbars all the way off the iPad’s edge (on either side) to minimize them.
Maps: Now you can design and insert stylized maps. Perfect for your bullet journal or travel planning.
Improved search: There’s a new search field in the Shelf that searches across all your notebooks. It’s also much, much better at reading your handwriting if you upgrade your iPad to iPadOS 16.1.
Tags: We know a lot of you have big libraries – now, your notebooks are easily organized with tags. Like folders, but better!
Notebook creator: Tweak a stationery to your taste, and then make an entire notebook out of it in just a few taps. If you choose a planning stationery, it will increment the dates just like you’d expect.
Shape recognition: See a preview of recognized shapes, as you draw, and insert them with one tap.
It’s a lot to cover, and that’s on top of the new UI that holds it all together! In the coming weeks, we’ll send a quick walkthrough for each feature.
Stay tuned,
